University for the Creative Arts

The University of the Creative Arts (UCA) offers over 110 creative courses across its four campuses in Canterbury, Epsom, Farnham and Rochester. Additional courses are based at The Maidstone Television Studios and the Royal School of Needlework at Hampton Court Palace.

Iconic fashion designer Dame Zandra Rhodes, DBE RDI, is the University’s Chancellor and UCA has been recognised as one of the best places in the world to study fashion by global media company Business of Fashion. Final-year students go on to showcase their work at Graduate Fashion Week, where they have won catwalk awards for their work.

Campus facilities across the four main sites include state-of-the-art photography studios, TV studios and a broadcast newsroom, a computer animated studio, a virtual reality lab, laser cutting facilities, first-class sewing and textiles equipment, and industry-standard production and editing software.

Alumni include the creators of Rupert Bear and Where’s Wally?, fashion designers Karen Millen OBE and Zandra Rhodes, DBE RDI, as well asTurnerPrize nominee Tracey Emin. There are also Oscar-winning filmmakers, BAFTA-winning directors and Academy Award winners thrown into the creative mix.
